This is a standard (Mexican) Strat with customizations in electronics. Many people make a big deal about American Strat, but the sound, feel and construction of this particular Mexican guitar is excellent. It may not have a good resale value, but so what. Its music value is great, at least to me.

I traded my old Epiphone Casino for this strat from a guitarist of the Retro Rockets. He made some modifications and had this guitar professionally setup. The neck and middle pickups are swapped, and a custom toggle switch is installed to turn on the bridge pickup as well as the tone control to the bridge. This wiring allows two unique humbacking modes (neck+middle, neck+middle+bridge) and a unique two single-coil mode (middle+bridge). The string actions are setup such that strings are allowed maximum vibration without compromising finger actions. The setup produces great acoustic quality.

I love this guitar.
