Nocturnes: Music for Lonely Nights

Whereas the "Letting Down" album was born out of a joy, the still-unpressed "Nocturnes: Music for Lonely Nights" recording was born out of tragedy.

In January of 1997 my wife and I experienced a miscarriage, the result of an amniocentesis test gone bad. For months I brooded on the loss, and out of that brooding grew a set of compositions that reflect my generally dark — but occassonally optimistic — state of of mind at the time.

The birth of Eva lifted the clouds, and so I never felt the need to send this cathartic music off to the pressing plant. The music is, however, mixed and ready to go public, and I'll share it with anyone who feels the need for it.
