Commercial scores

Willow Music has a solid reputation for providing clients in television, theater and industrial film production with effective music that meets their deadlines and budgetary restraints as well as their stylistic desires.

Whether the project is a breezy 30-second TV spot or a lengthy suite of incidental music for a serious play, composer James Wierzbicki begins his work with an earnest conversation with the producer. The ideas of the producer then govern every step of the composition process; if the ideas change, so does the music, right up to opening night or the moment of the final lay-back mix.

Wierzbicki's willingness to listen, and his guaranteed-to-please approach to commercial music-making, has meant repeat business from such clients as KMOV-TV and The New Theatre in St. Louis and Schorr Communications in Seattle. And his ability to tune in to an audience's needs helped make him one of the most-heard composers on MSN (the Microsoft Network). (See résumé.)

Like so much else in life, rates at Willow Music are negotiable. In most cases, however, the fee for non-broadcast projects is between $300 and $400 per minute of finished music and about twice that for broadcast projects.

Demo tapes are available upon request.
