Lady Alys of Arkain: A Kandayan-born noblewoman who married Ybris of Arkain and thus became part of a Thardic greatclan as well. She is the current patron of Hondash of Amysyn, but in fact, relations between her and her client are poor to non-existent. She sold Hondash's shop (which she inherited through her husband) to the Halean church in 715 TR, while retaining a lease on it through 1 Ilvin 720. She has been subletting it to Hondash at a low rent. Judyn meets with her and unsuccessfully attempts to persuade her to come to the trial in Session 8.

Analia of Erm: A priestess of the Order of the Eight Demons in Coranan and the daughter of a Thardic patrician clan. She eavesdropped on the missionaries at the Scroll and Quill in Session 4 (as well as followed Kalrun, Duglan, and Kara). She also met with Bowdyn in Session 5. She also spoke in favor of the missionaries at their trial in Session 8. Early on she made overtures of friendship and cooperation to the missionaries through Kalrun on several occasions, without asking for anything in return. Olrau, however, advised the others to be very wary of her.

In Session 13, Maban divined on Analia's future and saw several curious scenes of it.

In Session 13, Analia came to the missionaries to let them know that an Ulahnkh (a kind of emissary-priest) from the Shiran temple of the Octagonal Pit was in Coranan asking questions about them. She arranged a meeting between them and the Ulankh, Carig of Guntar. In the same session, she also got the missionaries to agree to assassinate her uncle, Drayis of Erm.

Arbun: A sergeant in Coranan's Red Guard. A contact made by Kalrun in Session 1. He has proved to be a useful source of information about the Red Guard, local politics, and even the local Lia-Kavair. He helped Arbun pay the right bribes and join the Red Guard in Session 8.

Barrius of Krenna: A young Thardic patrician with a house in Coranan— and large gambling debts. Bowdyn of Ressa purchased some of his furniture and other possessions in Session 2. Carig of Guntar: An Ulankh (a type of Agrikan priest) from the Shiran temple of the Octagonal Pit. In Session 13, he met with the missionaries to discuss arrangements for getting the missionaries to support the use of Ivashu in the games. He is chubby, lecherous, and very fond of money.

Cobart of Denach: A cousin— and former lover— of Judyn of Denach. She has turned over the running of the family's commericial interests to him. In Session 17, he arrived at Taztos on a Coranan-bound caravan traveling from Kaldor and met up with the missionaries there. He plans to winter in Coranan.

Corwyn of Duhl: A Master Mason in Coranan who specializes in sculpture. Bowdyn of Ressa has taken on some work with him and the two men seem to get along, although Bowdyn has been unable to persuade him to take an active roll in assisting him in getting the guild to grant him his own franchise.

Cranor: A follower of Ilvir (who speaks Jarinese as his first language) who spoke to Maban in Session 4. He indicated that he and a group of fellow believers who dwell secretly "in dark places" believe it is an obscene blasphemy that humans traffic in Ivashu. He sought out Maban's own feeligns on the matter and, finding her in agreement, counseled her to find out what her fellow missionaries thought. He urged her not to tell the others about his existence until she found out "who were true and who were not". Maban has so far heeded his guidance.

In Session 13, Cranor approached the missionaries again, applauding them for their actions in Shiran, and seeking them to use Umbathri to attack Octagonal Priests here. After a brief heated conversation in which Maban refused to be pressured by him, he sent the missionaries a vaguely threatening letter.

Senator Crasshic of Kainel: A senator of the Thardic Republic. He had his brother are known as rabble-rousers and leaders of the 'Reform' faction in the Senate. In Session 12, Jaroud witinessed a speech by Crasshic in the poor parts of Coranan, where he called for major constitutional reforms, debt foregiveness, and land redistribution.

After the speech Jaroud spoke to the Senator, who agreed to buy two of his dogs.

Darifa: Apparently the common-law wife of Master Apothecary Fargil of Krunos, as well as an herbalist of some skill (particularly in the areas of charms and poisons), Darifa is a plump, dark complexioned woman who has (or at least claims) a remarkable past, that includes abduction from her homeland in Anzeloria, marriage two at least two husbands, and the murder of at least one of them. She has befriended Maban. Maban cast her bones on Darifa's future and divined that the woman would one day inherit Fargil's shop, but that she would not run it or enjoy the profits as she would be accused of being behind Fargil's death.

Drayis of Erm: Analia's uncle, and head of Clan Erm. In Session 13, the missionaries agreed to assassinate him so that Analia could take over her clan.

Duglan of Pohn: A former legionnaire, now a mercenary, who once encountered a strange Ivashu— maybe one of Ilvir's “Elder Brood”. He is the group's first convert. He also is a coward who flees from battle, despite his military background. He currently works for a small mercenary company that guards warehouses in the Merchants' Quarter.

Duglan accompanied the missionaries in the quest for H'floghk'a, the Elder Brood Ivashu in Session Session 13. He dealt the death-blow to the creature in Session 14, and in Session 15, demanded that they take the corpose to Taztos to show the soldiers there.

Kara briefly developed an attraction to Faras, but Kalruna and Judyn quickly squelched that poor match before it even started. In Session 10, Judyn also arranged for Faras to get kicked out of K'norran temple, losing his acolyte status.

Fargil of Krunos: A master apothecary and skilled alchmist. He keeps his shop in Kuseme. He is apparently also a member of the Guild of Arcane Lore. He has a common-law wife, Darifa, who also serves as an assistant. He recently took on Maban as an apprentice under unusual circumstances. He also made her a love potion.

In Session 6, he spoke with Maban about how the order obtains gladiators and wild beasts (including Ivashu). He also made an indecent proposal to Maban that she politely declined. In Session 7, Maban sought him out and attempted to seduce him; he slept with her, but lost interest afterwards.

In Session 13, Maban told Dagnard that she had learned of his injury and impotence through Garryx. Not long after, Dagnard gave Garryxa thrashing within two inches of his life.

Girardius the Finder: A man in his 40s, who studied in Melderyn and Azeryan when younger. He sells his services as an investigator to those who will pay. He is a friend of Goris of Quinda, owner of the Scroll & Quill. In Session 7, Goris asked him to investigate the attack on his inn; he spoke with the missionaries, but they put him off the trail. In Session 8, the missionaries hire him to investigate the involvement of Punat of Khonary in the second wave of 'Ilviran vandalism' and in Session 9, he reports to them that Punat has hired an assassin, presumably to kill one of them. However, it is he— not they— who is struck by a poisoned assassin's knife. Maban managed to prevent him from dying through quick application of herbal antidotes.

Girardius later agreed to travel to Kaldor and fight out more about who killed his family, as repayment of his debt of gratitude.

They took its remains back to Coranan.

Hida of Amysyn: The sixteen-year-old daughter of Hondash of Amysyn. She was engaged to Tymas, the journeyman who was killed after falling off the roof of Hondash's shop (with a bit of Umbathri help) in Session 3. She appears to have little respect for her father and even called him a “'pig” (but not to his face) in Session 7. She gave Jaroud a long, but inscrutable, look during the trial of the Ilvirans in Session 8. In Session 9, the missionaries learn that she is pregnant with the child of the late journeyman.

Hillay of Tabral: The wife of Bowdyn of Ressa. Hillay, a niece of Bowdyn's former master, is a devout Halean who thinks Bowdyn is foolish for having joined this mission and come to Coranan. At times, her frustration and anger with him borders on hysteria. Bowdyn is convinced that she will accept their new life— if not his faith— once he re-establishes his business here.

In Session 1, during a spat, Bowdyn physically dragged/carried Hillay out of Coranan's Halean temple. After an argument in Session 3, Bowdyn promised Hillay that if he did not reestablish his business by 7 Halane (the last date of The Halean Festival, The Banquet of Delight"), they would go back to Tashal.

[See Hillay's character sheet.]

Hondash of Amysyn: A Master Hideworker who specializes in boot and who has a horrible temper and hatred of Ilvirans. He owns a shop near the the Quilon Gate, just off of Kotros Square. The PCs have received a sign (in Session 2) that they must build their temple on the site of his shop and they are currently working to buy it from him. An Umbathri has taken up residence on his rooftop and its presence has led (in Session 3) to the death of Tymas, a journeyman in Hondash's employ. In Session 5, Brother Olrau had an unpleasant conversation with him and Kalrun got into a mild scuffle with him. In Session 6, the group learned that, when Hondash was a boy, his father had been murdered by Ilvirans who had broken into his house. In Session 8, he loses his lawsuit against the missionaries and is, in fact, declared guilty of blasphemy himself. In Session 9, the missionaries persuade him that they have divine will on their side and that it is pointless for him to try and fight them further.

In Session 16, Commander Stopez asked the missionaries if they would be willing to chase Malaris away— but they declined.

Mykel: An underfed, sickly young man who apparently grew up on the Corani streets. In Session 2, he was caught by the missionaries trying to sneak into Jaroud's house and dog pens. He confessed to them that he was asked by a man named 'Tiny' to investigate Jaroud and his dogs. He also accompanied Jaroud on the hunting trip in Session 2 and drank himself into a stupor in the alley after the feast.

In subsequent sessions, he has appeared at Jaroud's house in the morning and took care of the dogs. In Session 7, he was mauled by some of Jaroud's dogs and was critically injured; prayer to Ilvir, however, healed his wounds. He converted to Ilviranism as a result. Following an incident where he lied to Jaroud (in Session 9) he was dismissed from Jaroud's service. At Brother Olrau's suggestion, Jaroud took Mykel back into his service in Session 14.

In Session 9, the missionaries learn that he hired an assassin, presumably to kill one of them before fleeing the city— but the assassin's blade struck Girardius the Finder instead. In Session 11, he was assassinated by Jaroud and Bowdyn. His son Laranz, inherited the family business.

Qyg of Drym: A Master Physican who devotes himself to marking the body with signs (tatooes, scars, brands, etc.) rather than to more traditional helaing.
