The bible's earliest recorded event is the birth of William Glover in 1783. Charity Wilson, his wife to be, was born in 1790. They were married in 1808 in Barren County, Kentucky. The Glover family is recorded on the first page of births, including their daughter Martha Ellenor Glover, who was born in 1826 and married Solomon Holland Dickerson in 1848. The second page of births records the Dickerson family. Their son William Ripley Dickerson was my great grandfather.
Solomon Holland Dickerson was the son of Cephas Dickerson who was the son of Solomon Dickerson. Solomon Dickerson was born in Maryland and came to Kentucky after the Revolutionary War. If you click on his link below you can trace the Dickerson family back to the one born in Maryland in 1643.
