NCN1 is the "prime" session of NCN. It is the high speed CW "sectional net" for SF, EBay, SJV, SCV, SV, NV and PAC (Hawaii). Being the "official" sectional net for NTS, traffic is only given to stations from those ARRL sections, though out of section check-ins' are appreciated. High speed CW is a relative term, the NCS is always less than 25 WPM but everyone is more than happy to "QRS". The RN6 liaison station takes and receives traffic going outside of the NCN area, by checking into the RN6 (sixth regional net) which is held at 3575KHz at 7:45PM and 9:30PM Pacific local time.

Joe W6DOB is trying to revive NCN/V on the San Pablo Ridge repeater, WB6EZC/R, 145.110(-), PL 82.5 and they meet Sunday nights at 7:30PM local time.

NCN/2 is the slow speed CW session of NCN. This net welcomes check-ins' from novice to experts. The net speed is aprox 13 WPM, but members will be glad to "QRS" as needed. Unlike NCN/1, NCN/2 can handle traffic to anyone who checks in, regardless what ARRL section the net is located. Being later in the evening, the net attracts stations from up and down the west coast.
Help wanted! All NCN Nets have opening for either Net Control Stations (NCS) or traffic liasion station between the these sectional nets and the sixth regional net. Any amateur interested please feel free to contact the net manager(s) listed above and sign up for any duties. Even if every night has a regular assignment, there are always many nights where substitutions and back up is required. Volunteer today!
