It is a well-known fact among the medical community that cigarette smoking causes most cancers. However, the AMA refuses to let that fact out because one of the biggest money-makers for the medical community is cancer. Other causes of cancer are such things as asbestos and coal dust (coal miner's lung), but the majority of cancers are caused by smoking cigarettes, cigars, and pipes. Of course, in this day and age there are other toxins in the chemical world that causes cancer, and these exposures must be dealt with. The point is that most cancer is preventable, and the prevalent cancers we see today were unknown 100 to 150 years ago. This is all totally preventable, and taking cigarettes off the market shelves is the way to do it. Keep them out of the children's hands. It is also a well-known fact that cigarette smoking around young children is extremely harmful to their health. It is the root cause of chronic bronchitis and asthma. It causes severe allergies in people who have grown up with smoking parents and family members. It is also well-known among doctors that almost immediately, a smoker will have beginning cancer cells in their lungs from cigarette smoke, as the tar and nicotine build up inside of them. At the beginning, the body can deal with these cancer cells, so they are not aware of them. As the body wears down from lack of oxygen, and a lack of ability to fight off simple colds, or flus, the immune system breaks down, and doesn't recover. The repeated assault on the body finally takes its toll, and the cancer cells begin to take over the immune-suppressed body. For some people this takes longer than for others, but the cancer cells are present in all smokers. Asthma is just a word to cigarette smokers, and they really don't care what that condition causes. They are always in denial, so therefore cigarette smoking causes mental health issues since the smoker cannot deal with reality. They are addicts, after all. It seems the only way to deal with a cigarette smoker these days is to move far away from them. It is unfortunate that in the early 1980s people were quitting smoking in such large numbers that the tobacco companies began experimenting with making stronger tobacco by manipulating the DNA in the tobacco plant. Now they are making tobacco plants that have such strong addictive ingredients in them that the cigarette smoker cannot quit no matter how hard they try. These new cigarettes from altered DNA plants (rDNA) results in worse health risks than ordinary, natural tobacco. Shame on the tobacco companies for beginning the crucades of DNA manipulation in store-bought products. It didn't end with cigarettes. We now have rDNA products everywhere, even though there are NO food shortages, they manipulate food such as corn, tomatos, wheat, soy, peanuts, and every day products are greatly affected. The rBST in milk causes bladder infections because the rBST treated cows have a much higher incidence of infections in their udders. Shame on those dairies who use rBST and don't really need to, of course! It may not be much longer before the tobacco companies make such a strong tobacco that cancer happens almost immediately, thus the need to target young children for learning to smoke. It seems almost inevitable these days that youngsters are so encouraged to smoke that they cannot avoid doing so without looking like an unpopular person. Even the movies push tobacco smoking as the thing to do. Little do they know how many actors and actresses have met horrible deaths from the effects of cigarette smoking. A recent survey brought up the fact that several states that grow tobacco as crops have farmers that are plowing the tobacco plants under to grow grapes vines, instead. With the heavy taxations of tobacco, the companies that sell cigarettes have had to decrease the prices so much that farmers can no longer make a living growing tobacco. That is great news!
