NAIA/Tachikara National Invitational Tournament

2004

The 2004 National Invitational Tournament for Varsity NAIA Men's Volleyball Teams will be held on April 16 and 17, 2004 in Wichita, Kansas . The event will be hosted by Newman University.

The Tournament is endorsed by the NAIA and the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association). The main sponsor for the event is Tachikara USA.
The top six NAIA Varsity Men's Volleyball programs will qualify for this event. The host institution will receive an automatic birth.

2003

The 2001 NAIA/Tachikara National Invitational Tournament was won by Park University from Parkville, Missouri. In the final the no. 1 seeded Pirates defeated the no. 3 seed Missouri Baptist University in three games. Park University made it into the final with a 3-2 win over Lindenwood University from St. Charles, Missouri. Missouri Baptist University battled their way into the final with a 3-2 upset of the #2 seed, California Baptist University from Riverside, California.

In the final the no. 2 seeded Owls defeated the no. 1 seed Lindenwood University in a spectacular 5 game match. Lindenwood University made it into the final with a win over Missouri Baptist College from St. Louis, Missouri. William Woods University battled their way into the final with a win over California Baptist University from Riverside, California.

In the final the no. 1 seeded Lancers defeated the no. 4 seed Marycrest International University three games to one. California Baptist University made it into the final with a 3-1 win over Lindenwood University from St. Charles, Missouri. Marycrest International University battled their way into the final with a 3-2 victory over Park University from Parkville, Missouri, surviving several match points earlier in the match. In pool play Park University , upset California Baptist with a 3-2 victory.

The 2000 NAIA/SSI-Volleyball National Invitational Tournament was won by Columbia College from Columbia, Missouri. In the final the no. 1 seeded Cougars defeated the no. 2 seed California Baptist University three games to zero. Columbia College made it into the final with a 3-0 win over Marycrest International University from Davenport, Iowa. The Lancers from Riverside, California battled their way into the final with a 3-0 victory over Lindenwood University from St. Charles, Missouri. In pool play Tri-State University from Angola, Indiana, upset California Baptist with a 3-2 victory. With a 3-0 loss to Marycrest International though, Tri-State still ended third in pool and elimination. Cal. Baptist defeated Marycrest in three. In the other pool, host institution Park University put some major heat on top seed Columbia College, resulting in a narrow escape for the Cougars, 3-2. Lindenwood sealed a place in the semi-final with a 3-1 win over Park. Columbia defeated Lindenwood in three games.

In the final the no. 1 seeded Lancers defeated the no. 2 seed College in a five game thriller. Columbia College made it into the final with a 3-0 win over Marycrest International University from Davenport, Iowa. The Lancers from Riverside, California battled their way into the final with a 3-0 victory over William Woods Univeristy from Fulton, Missouri.
