Funeral Services for Elsie May Gertrude Hutchens Glass, 72, of 2428 South 19, Chickasha, will be 2:30pm Tuesday, March 21, 1989 at the Grace Baptist Church with Rev. K.E. Rains officiating.
She was born October 8, 1916 in Waldron, Arkansas, the daughter of Lewis S. And Venie (Hicks) Hutchens, and died Friday, March 17 in Chickasha.
She married Orval J. Glass on October 3, 1931 in Waldron, Arkansas and moved to Chickasha in 1946.
She was preceded in death by both parents, stepmother, one brother, Lester Hutchens, one sister, Ruth Taylor, and a grandson, Mike Glass.
She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Orval Glass of the home; five children, Donal Glass and Agnes Kuhlman of Chickasha; Florene Shipley of Stillwater; Alford Glass of Okmulgee and Herchel Dewayne Glass of Moore; three brothers, Leonard Hutchens of Danville, AR; Frank Hutchens of Waldron, AR and Floyd Hutchens of Cook, WA; a sister, Ethal Marie Horn of Waldron, AR; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetary under the direction of the Brown-Binyon Funeral Home.
