Another name for Juda was Judah Elizabeth WATTS.
Research Notes:
Her full name is Juda Elizabeth Lydia Althea Rosanna Catherine Watts. She was the daughter of William "Pleasant" Watts & Mary Elvira "Polly" Gillespie. A full blood Cherokee, she was born 3 October 1829 in Rabun Co., GA and died June of 1884 in Fairland, Ottawa Co., OK. See Indian Document Vol 24, pg. 23 reporting probate of J.E. Chastine, female, and list of heirs after her death in 1884 (report mentioned her husband died in 1891, so the Document had to be recorded later, perhaps transferred from other records. Among the Children listed as heirs was J. C. Chastine, dau. married to Claude G. Braught, Indiana Territory, who owned 600 acres, 300 acres tilled before 11 Aug. 1886 -- apparently some legal deadline worth mentioning). Her daughters called her Judy E. Chastain, nee Watts. See "Indian Blood" records for the ancestry of her grandfather (William/Pleasant Watts, son of Joseph Watts, son of John Watts). This reference to J.C. Chastine married to Claude (assumed to be Cloid Godfrey) is confusing, as her name was Cynthia Azelia (C. A.) according to most records. The C.'s could both represent Cynthia (although some records spell it Synthia).
