This is what We watched pass our house this morning about 10:45 or so. Jim McInturff is an English instructor (and a friend) at the local community college. His wife, Debbie, nominated him to be an Olympic Torch Bearer. She did such a good job of telling how Jim had been an inspiration to her that he was selected. And, she was selected to carry the torch also! Debbie will carry the Olympic torch in Memphis this afternoon beginning at the N. Evergreen and Poplar intersection.

| There is a school across the street from our house and some of the children and teachers came out to watch and cheer Jim on his run down Division Street. |

And there were several of Jim's collegues and friends who were also present to lend their support. More pictures are on the way, but someone did get a digital shot of Lynda and me talking to Debbie. Check on the second page to see her again in Memphis. |
