What's wrong with having a freind or relative
videotape our wedding?
Unless your friend uses high-end video cameras, tripods, and microphones,
you will get a poorly lit, shaky video with inadequate sound. Unfortunately,
not much can be done to salvage these videos. Why not let your friends and
family members relax and enjoy the day with you, and leave the videomaking
to the professionals?
Why do videos cost as much as
photographs?
Typically, videos cost as much or more than still photographs. Both still
pictures and your video will become cherished keepsakes, but it will be
your wedding video that truly lets you relive the sights and sounds of
your special day.
Our prices not only reflect our experience
and investment in time and equipment, but also our committment to quality
and service.
Why have two cameras at the ceremony?
Using two cameras produces a more comprehensive and visually interesting
video. While the primary camera is changing shots or focusing, the second
camera can be used to switch to another view. This allows seamless editing
between close-up and wide angle shots.
If interested in a second camera,
please check with the wedding coordinator for any restrictions regarding
the videoptaping of the ceremony. Some churches do not allow a second
camera.
How good will the sound be?
Sound quality is one of the most overlooked, but most important aspects
of good videomaking. This is one of the most obvious differences between
professional and amateur videos.
On-camera microphones are sometimes
inadequate. We take special care to place unobtrusive microphones where
needed. Because of our audio techniques, you will clearly hear the officiant,
your wedding vows, the musicians, and the other important sounds of your
wedding.
Can we get our video on DVD?
Yes you can! We are excited to offer this option on all our packages.
Since we use only high-resolution digital cameras and editing equipment,
a lot
of quality is lost when transferring your digital master to a VHS
tape.
DVD (480+ lines of resolution) lets you experience far superior sound
and picture quality than VHS (240 lines). Also, a DVD will not degrade
with multiple playings compared to videotape. Plus, no rewinding!
How soon will we get our video?
It takes many hours and a lot of care to craft the source video and audio
of your wedding into a finished product that you will enjoy watching for
the rest of your life. We strive to have your video ready between four
and six weeks of your wedding day. This may seem long to you, but the
results are always worth the wait.
