Court Won't Enter Ten Commandments Fight It looks like the Supreme Court is being cowardly, by avoiding the controversial issue of whether the 10 Commandments belong in a State owned building. Although the issue is petty, after all no ones rights or life is really being affected by the huge monubument in the court house. When they start telling Catholic Nuns they can't where a tiny cross when they teach, Yet our Supreme Court building has carvings depicting the 10 commandments. We ban Christmas Nativity scenes at town commons, but "In God We Trust" is written all over our Goverment printed money. I don't think it matters much how the courts decide, but they need to come up with some consistant policy. They will take on the issue of "One nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegience, But they still leave open a whole area of fuziness in our laws.
