Yahoo! News - Googling for Dollars: Search Engines battle for big market is an article that discusses Googles rebuffing of Microsofts offer to absorb them into the "Borg". Most users are going to view this as a good thing, but Google faces some stiff compitition in the future. Yahoo!, and other giants are developing their search engines, and Microsoft can be be a fierce competitor. Googles defence is to go go public with an IPO, hopefully getting a cash infusion that will help them maintain their technical, and competitive edge.
