Aviation History
It was amazing to watch, The graceful White Knight and Spaceship One secured to her are not only Engineering Marvels, but they are works of art. Rutan not only creates aircraft that perform well, but look pretty darn good too.
The media seems to focus a lot on personalities their deeds and misdeeds. There is a story here involving 3 different personalaties. Pilot Mike Melvill a South African born pilot achieved just about every pilots dream. Burt Rutan who has once again has done the impossible. Visionary dreamers are the folks that push mankind ahead. His crowning achievement could have been his Voyager which cicled the the earth non stop. Thankfully he didn't rest on his laurels. And then there is Paul Allen, he provided the money. Enterprauners. He saw fit to invest in another man's dream. I suspect he will never make any money on this venture, but we are richer today because invested in America's the world's future.
