The Gipper has left us.

Ronald Reagan died a few hours ago. I will always remember him as a leader with great convictions and honor. He used charm and humor as tools for persuasion. He was uncompromising in his principles, and respectful to his adversaries. All this made him a great leader. Thanks Nancy for maintaining his dignity, you have our hearts and prayers.

Ronnie died ten years ago, when his mind ceased functioning - his family was spared having to part with him all at once, as they'd had the resources most of us do not, to keep his shell alive.

Reagan hasbeen missed these many years, as he seemed more capable of "closing the gap" between the parties. His genuine concern for the nation supersceded any political interests or ambitions.

He was a great man and a great president, despite what the Democratic naysayers will report regarding how he'd driven us into financial ruin.

Sorry Dems, its always one of yours who starts the spending!

As an aside, has anyone noticed that everything they're complimenting Reagan on coincides pretty directly with everything they're condemning Bush for?
