Bush's Radio Attack on Gay Marriage.

President Bush's Radio Address The Family Marriage Amendment doesn't stand a chance in hell, but gives Bush detractors lots of ammunition. The only explaination for his pushing so dogmatically is hate. I'm not so sure that any man so driven with this hate belongs in power. We need the folks in power to reasoning and compassionate there is no room for hate.

For ages, in every culture, human beings have understood that traditional marriage is critical to the well-being of families. And because families pass along values and shape character, traditional marriage is also critical to the health of society. Our policies should aim to strengthen families, not undermine them. And changing the definition of traditional marriage will undermine the family structure.

On an issue of this great significance, opinions are strong and emotions run deep. All of us have a duty to conduct this discussion with civility and decency toward one another. All people deserve to have their voices heard. And that is exactly the purpose behind the constitutional amendment process. American democracy, not court orders, should decide the future of marriage in America.

First of all the institute of marriage, isn't all that great of a privelege given to us by our goverment. It Doies allow the goverment to tax us a little heavier and to screw us over when it is time to collect our social security. Our goverment gives us nothing that I can think of for the privelege of being married. Please let the gays get married so they can get screwed by our goverment just like us married hetrosexuals.

How is banning gay marriages protecting heterosexual marriages. I must confess I feel a little threatened when my wife, Equality, watches the gay Home and Gardening decoraters and get some decorating ideas, but this has nothing to do whether these gays folks are married. I can't understand Bush's concern. This makes him look hatefgul, and I'm really afraid that this is the one issue that could cost him the election. It won't cost him the election because of the loss of the gay vote, nor because his potential voter base really cares, but because his insistence on this issue makes him look hateful.
