What is Kiss?
Kiss, short for kisekae, is an interactive paper doll program. Within
the doll the clothing, accessories, and so on can be moved around. Some
dolls incorporate animation or other effects. (For example, click on
the hair and it changes color.)
To view a Kiss doll, you'll need a viewer, and one or more dolls. Viewers
are available for download (free) at The Big Kiss Page. The viewer
is used to open individual dolls, which must be downloaded separately.
How did I become interested in Kiss?
I was browsing the web one day and ran into some by accident. What intrigued
me was that anyone with a bit of artistic ability and some basic software
could create a doll. I started this one when I was unemployed and had
too much spare time.
My first doll is Minako (Sailor
Venus) of the TV show Sailor Moon. She has a good-size wardrobe but
no cool animations or effects. I hope to try some on my next doll.
