The Houston Festival was a great experience. The festival provided one of the most thorough and comprehensive programs available for classical guitarists of all levels. Each day, the student is completely immersed - from warming up, ensemble practice, master classes to lectures on guitar building and flamenco among other things. The aspect that truly sets this festival apart was the laid-back atmosphere and the staff's ambition to design a program that is well rounded and accommodating to the student.
Here are what some of the students had
to say: "What a fabulous week! Thank
you so much for all your work, loved the faculty, classes and all your hard work came
through. See you at the next one!" - Vicki Cottrell
"I have learned so much in one week. Really, really enjoyed it!"
- Andy Vejvilai
"Thanks for your hard work organizing this! I appreciate the time spent
guitaring!" - Barbara Lyle
"Thanks for everything you have done in the Houston Guitar Scene.
If we did not have people like you (Hartzell),
the guitar would die out. You are a great teacher and friend." -
