Matthew 4:18-20
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 ‘‘Come, follow me," Jesus said, ‘‘and I will make you fishers of men." 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. This is such a powerful verse!!!! In this verse, Jesus meets two brothers who are fishermen. The words he said mean, go be disciples of God and get into sharing the word of the Lord. Jesus must have had a very powerful appearance for two brothers to leave everything behind and follow him. Here's a question: How many fish could you catch with a net? How many fish could you catch with a hook? You could catch more fish using a net. Think of the net as the bible. Now think of the fish as people. The fishermen could be Jesus' disciples and YOU! We as the Christian people must work together to gather more people in Christ!!! Following the Lord could be the best thing you can do in your life.
