Day 6 - July 6, 2006
Summary of Day
We woke up really early to get to our last session of SO@R. Last night they took up an offering for Pastor's Oasis and over 7,000 dollars was collected! Before the speaker started they brought on stage some of this summers student missionaries and awarded 12 $500 scholarships for next summers' student missionaries! Scott Atterberry and Stephen Carroll spoke on the persistence of the Gospel. The SO@R band played for the last time and they challenged us to keep the fire going throughout the year and not leave it at the conference. Everyone said their goodbyes and headed out. We were on our way to SIX FLAGS!! We made a stop at a drive in McDonalds and ate outside..fun! We divided into groups to go around six flags and then we were off! The best roller coaster in the whole park was the Titan! It was sooo cool! Followed by Splash Water...at least in little Abby's oppinion! The skycoaster was enjoyed by Jeff, Randy and Katie. Kristin thought they were out of their mind! But they said it was the coolest thing they've ever done...pictures below! We stayed till closing, loaded the bus, and headed back to the hotel. Everyone showered...we hope...packed and went to sleep!!
