Daughters of the American Revolution
Fremont, California

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, founded in 1890, is a service organization dedicated to service to the Nation.  It's objectives are Historic Preservation, Promotion of Education, and Patriotic Endeavor.

Ohlone Chapter was organized on October 9, 1990.  The Chapter takes its name from the Ohlone Indians who heavily populated the San Francisco Bay area during the time of the American Revolution.  Although there is presently no active tribe of Ohlone Indians in this area, there are numerous preserved Indian sites, burial grounds, and shell mounds available for viewing.

Eligibility:  An applicant for membership must be no less than 18 years of age.  She shall prove lineal blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.  She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage, and death.

Meetings:  Ohlone Chapter meets once a month September through May on the first Saturday of the month.  For further information please contact the Regent.
