Pamela Trokanski Dance Theater Spring Concert !
The Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre will present its spring concert on Friday – Saturday, April 24 & 25, and May 1 & 2, at the in-house theater located at the Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop & Performing Arts Center, 2720 Del Rio Place, Davis. Both weekends of evening concerts, Friday – Saturday, will begin at 8:00pm.
The company, which is known for works that straddle the
worlds of contemporary culture and idiosyncratic personal experience,
will present three pieces. "Two Kinds of People," which first premiered
in the fall of 2002, is a "tongue-in cheek" examination of all the
differences between people before arriving at one basic truth.
The concert also includes two premiere performances.
"Side Effects" examines the prices we are willing to pay in order to
"fix" problems in our lives, and "Other Nations" explores our
relationships with other animals. This work is being done as a fund
raiser for Friends of Yolo County Animal Services, a 501 ( C ) 3
non-profit, that allows for all money raised to go directly to the
animal shelter. Two dollars from every ticket goes directly to them.
Ticket prices: All seats $12.00
Two dollars from every ticket will go to
Friends of the Yolo Animal Shelter.
Tickets are available, in advance, at the Pamela
Trokanski Dance Workshop.
