Some of the More Expensive and Interesting Stamps.

Scott and Stanley Gibbons don't seem to agree on the numbering system for these varieties. I've tried to illustrate the differences using examples side by side.

The series was printed with and without the overprint, and goes up to 1 Pound. The 5 shilling & 1 pound are not listed in Scott or Stanley Gibbons.

The "ONE-PENNY" overprint only occurs on the Six Pence, with unknown quantities printed.

At the Two Shilling denomination prices go up dramatically. Some catalog at $1,750, with most in the $16,000-$30,000 range. I'll probably print these in color, cut them out and put them in my album (just to pretend).
