Course Description:

This course provides an overview of the law, policies and practices of mediation in family law matters; the roles of attorneys in mediation; confidentiality; conflicts of interest; and mediation standards.  Class attendance and completion of a research project are required.
 

Family Law Mediation is a required course for students providing mediation services to clients in the SJCL Family Law Mediation Clinic.

This one unit class meets on three Fridays.  A research project is required.  Attendance at all three class sessions is required.
