Here's some stuff for you to think about:
Words
  It's = it is
  Its = belonging to it
 WRONG: "It's leg was brown."
   Why? "It is leg was brown." is not the right way.
   WRONG: "Its the reason!"
   Why? "Belonging to the reason!" NO NO NO.
  You're = you are
  Your = belonging to you
   WRONG: "You're eye is orange."
   Why? "You are eye is orange." Not correct. Not.
   WRONG: "Your crazy."
   Why? "Belonging to you crazy." That's NOT it.
Dates
Example: February 2, 2002
Okay, I can see 02/02/02, even though it looks a little 'retarded'. Leading zeros can be done like that, though, so it's cool.
I like 2/2/2 or 2-2-2 better, but that's just me.
But WHY? Why would anyone use 2/2/02? What is the deal with that? Why put the leading zero in the year but not the month or day? That's nutty!
So, don't do April 7th as 4-7-02 or 7 April 02
Use 07 April 02 or 7 April 2
Use 4-7-2 or 04-07-02
I know you're used to two digit years! 90% of them are like that. (10,20,30...) But 10% are not. So drop the damn 0 in the years from 0 to 9. As in 2000 to 2009.
Okay, I admit that there are nine months of twelve (1-9) and nine days of about 30 (1-9) (9/12 of a year and 9/30 of a month) versus 10 years (0-9) of 100 (0-99) (1/10 of a century) but that's no excuse.
Just say no to 5/3/02. Do 05/03/02 or 5/3/2. Is there somebody who thinks 5/3/2 is not 5 March 2002? Did you think it was 1902?
I've already put up a bunch of crap about the fact the 3rd Millennium started on 1-1-1 so I won't put you through that again. You're welcome.
(BTW, I get so much junk email there anyway, I don't bother with the spider confusing additions to the address. I just don't check it as often.)
