Okay, so you want to be a tool of the people that sell oil?
(Meaning, the motor oil for your car.)

They SELL oil, and you want to believe them? DUH!

Anyway, I used to have a big page on this, but until I find it, let me say this:

You can be anal and trust the people that want to sell you the oil (hello, bottom line!), or you can be smart. It's up to you.

"Hello, I sell motor oil. You should change it every day. Buy more!"

My suggestion? Do what I've done for over 20 years, with engine problems being the least of my car worries.

Change your oil between 5000 and 10000 miles. If you are in a dirty, stop-and-go place, do it earlier. If you are in a dusty place, do it earlier. If you tow a trailer, do it earlier. But on the average, change it around 8000 miles. TRUE THAT!

If you are an average driver, do it later (around 8000) than earlier (around 3000? Yeah, right.).

Just make sure you CHANGE it every 5000 to 10000 miles, and make sure you check it so you don't run low. And change the oil filter when you change the oil, okay? And change the air filer when it gets dirty.

3000 miles? Give me a feakin break! How retarded. How "Motor Oil Company". It makes me sick thinking about all these sell out actors buying into this conspiracy. Such as it is.

Peace. Out.
