The following are links I have collected to other Woodcock web pages, genealogical sites, related families and all things Woodcockian:

WOODCOCK SITES

Woodcock Family Forum is a site where Woodcock researchers share genealogical information.  Several of the contributors are digging into our roots and may come up with new connections any time.  You can also search other surnames for additional Family Forums.

Clarence Woodcock is a descendant of a tribe of Massachusetts Woodcocks and  has an excellent site that includes information about some of our distant relatives (see Henry and William from Virginia and Tennessee).  Clarence has included a link to our site.

Allan Robert Woodcock's site is based on the book "John Woodcock of Rehoboth, Mass." By John Leighton Woodcock.  Allen's family  moved across the northern states from Searsmont, Maine to Massachusetts then to Butte, Montana, Seattle Washington and finally to Santa Monica, California. I haven't found any of our relatives here, but you never know.

Carol Lee Yarbrough has a beautiful site all about Standifers. For those of you who don't know about our Standifer connection, Isaac's great grandfather Thomas Woodcock married Mary Standifer July 3, 1786 in Franklin County, Virginia. Many of the Standifer records were found at Carol's site.

Janet Woodcock has a home page about some of our relatives that settled in Kentucky.

Remembering Myron is a new site Kimberly dedicated to her father. Temporarily unavailable

GENEALOGICAL SITES

Ancestry Hometown has several free databases that can be searched, but it will cost you $60 if you want access to all the databases.  The World Tree is free and I've found files that contain some of our relatives.

LDS Family Search has a searchable database from the Mormon Church.

US GenWeb Project offers links to states and counties throughout the country. You can post queries and in some cases search census and vital records.

RootsWeb is a good place to search for surnames and has helpful tips for researching your family.

Cyndi's List of Genealogical Sites has thousands of links and is a good place to kill several hours.

RESEARCH SITES

The Library of Virginia is excellent for colonial records and has searchable databases, as well as, historical maps and documents.

The Civil War Home Page has lots of information, photographs, battle summaries and more.
