Corey is employed by the East Bay Tribune as a summarizer of wire service reports. He is disillusioned with his job and has had considerable trouble adjusting to the Bay Area. He was the former art critic for a weekly news magazine in Anderson, Indiana. Corey helped uncover the sordid tale of Michael Palmer and the eviction of Torwald Morris and Subterranean Cinema, as those that had lived through it didn't know all the details, and of the two main characters in the struggle, one was dead and the other was missing. Corey likes David Lynch films, drinking, and complaining about California.
