Trolley Loop - Loop Trackage

Looking eastbound we can see that the north side approach track to the loop is nearing completetion. Just a little more work trackwork, some ballasting and it will be completed.

The westbound view shows how much work we really have to complete. Well over 100 feet is still left to install.

You win some and you lose some, and the rest get rained out. Not everyday is a sunny day when you have to work outside. This is one of those days that we got to work on some our indoor projects. We did have the for sight to put good drainage in before the tarck work was started.

Here we see the "Track Gang" hard-at-work putting the finishing touches on the track. They are spiking the rail to the ties. Still a lot more to go but it should not be to much longer.

When you can not find a piece of rail that is just the right size you have to cut it to fit. A gas powered rail cutter is just the right thing to help us out. It is still a lot of work, but certainly easier than doing it by hand!
