General Meeting held at the Presidio Child Development Center
5:30-7:00 PM

 | Sandy provided information about the SFAEYC committees and
meeting schedules:
 | General meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of
every other month, next meeting will be March 3rd, at the Presidio Child
Development Center |
| Committees will meet in the off months, when and where to
be determined by the committee members.

| General Discussion
| Communicating by e-mail seems to be most efficient |
| Meeting notes are currently e-mailed to all members who
have provided their e-mail address. We do not have e-mail addresses for 60
current members. |
| There will be an SFAEYC section on the CAEYC website
soon. |
| There is money available for postcards to members to
suggest they provide e-mail addresses and for outreach to other possible
members or interested individuals. |
| Postcard could announce that SFAYEC is reaffiliated and
that we are working on committees and invite members to participate. |
| NAEYC is phasing out their general membership and there
are 40+ possible members in San Francisco. |
| Note: We must provide a link to unsubscribe on any
e-mailings. |
| Each committee should report their meeting place, time,
etc. to Mark Mabry at least two weeks ahead of their meeting to allow him to
send this information out via e-mail. |
| Contact information only will be sent out by e-mail,
committee minutes will not be sent. |
| The committees do have a budget and that can be adjusted
if necessary. Each committee should think about their funding requirements.

| News:
| Two people have applied for the public policy internships
and our affiliate is sponsoring part of this cost. |
| Pacific Gateway AEYC is broken up and their funds will be
distributed among the local affiliates. SFAEYC is expected to receive a
portion of these funds. |
| Newsletter: information should be sent to Mark Mabry at
msmabry@sbcglobal.net or by
calling 415-681-6906. Additionally Mark reports that we will have space on
the CAEYC website but that it is managed by CAEYC. |
| We need a graphic designer to design a logo for SFAEYC. |
| SF Week of the Young Child Committee: no one representing
SFAEYC attended the last meeting. Things that have been a part of this event
in the past include a job fair at SFSU, Jump Start at SFSU, and an event at
the library. The goal is to have an event each day. The committee needs help
– meetings are at the ASI Early Childhood Education Center at SFSU from 6-7
pm on January 29th, February 19th, march 18th, April 1st and April 15th.
