 | Mark talked
about the CAEYC website and the new affiliate section. It is minimal
but there is a link to the SFAEYC website |
 | The SFAEYC
site has meetings announcements and minutes, events of special
interest, relevant information for membership, committees
information and updates. |
 | The contact
information on the website can be personal or generic to be
forwarded to the appropriate person |
 | The committee
will send monthly e-mailings, but approximately 1/3 of the membership
has not provided e-mail addresses. Perhaps a quarterly newsletter
should be sent via the mail or postcards to keep those members
informed about SFAEYC |
 | Betty Rose
announced that SFAEYC will be the spotlight article in the Sept
CAEYC magazine. Articles are always being sought so we should
brainstorm other stories that we could provide |

 | SFAEYC may
cosponsor an event at the SF Main Library on April 24th
as a part of the Week Of The Young Child . The event is a movement
program for young children. Sandy reported that she has been in
contact with the organizers and that SFAEYC may provide some funds
toward the event. |
 | Future ideas
include holding a picnic for the membership and their families on
June 5th. This was discussed and the feeling expressed by
many attendees was that it may be too soon to hold a picnic. It was
suggested that we need to define and organize the SFAEYC a bit more. |
 | Sandy
suggested and it was agreed that the next general meeting would
focus on developing a strategic plan around planning events and
programs |
 | Jan has added
our meetings to the Children's Council calendar |
 | Sandy
suggested that we try to get as many group calendars as possible to
avoid planning conflicting events.
