 | Committees
 | Sandy has a list of members that are interested in
committees. We passed it around along with the “job duties” of each
committee. |
 | Suggestions to organize committees. |
 | Hook up with CARES to try and get volunteers for our
committees. They (students/providers) can do hours for their professional
growth requirements. |
 | We need a “Chair” and “Co-chairs” for each committee |
 | Requirement for all Committees:
 | Write out Goals of what you will be working with and
get them to Mark. |
 | Have a ‘Binder” for each committee |
 | Focus: 2/3 things that each committee will work on.
|
|
 | Mark: Newsletter and web design Committee Still needs
members to join |
 | Carol: Public Policy Committee (she has a few members,
Carol Welch & Katherine Murphy) |
 | Susie: Membership Committee (Jans Wan signed up) |
 | Events: Still needs a chair but we have: Manuel, Margaret
& Lidia Larin along with: Nancy Record, Melanie Westfield, Meryl Glass,
Kerri Dukas- all who signed up at the Fort Mason Event. All members: please
contact: mkwong@ccsf.edu if you want to
be on this committee. |
 | Membership committee: Will look at list of emails. There
are two lists of emails that Sandy has that will be merged.
|
|
 | Meetings & Members
 | The Fort Mason Event: A busy weekend at the venue. The
food was great, the Mayoral candidates came, and we got sign ups for some of
our committees. |
 | The best way to get the word out is to have everyone’s
email. Members will receive the board notes and other relevant information
when we get it. This is another way for “Committee” groups to get their
notes back to Sandy and then she will get them to Mark- who will get them
out to the members |
 | 200 members for this past year. We have 130 email names
of members so far |
 | CAEYC - May have “support” soon for us for emails, etc. |
 | Membership Meetings: For all members or those interested
will be held TWICE A YEAR. |
 | Monthly meeting: There will be two kinds of meeting.
Every other month we will have a general meeting. For the first ones, all
members are invited. This will help both membership and let them know how
“they can help”. Committee meeting will meet every other month.
 | Reports will include:
1. Name of Committee
2. Committee Assignment
3. Key discussion points
4. Recommendations to Board and/or Points for Further Discussion:
5. Name/date of Committee Members |
 | We will need this for the January 7th, 2004 meeting |
|
 | Committee members can decide where they will hold their
own meeting. Each committee will send the form by email to Sandy and Mark.
Committee notes will be sent to members.
|
