The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) exists for the purpose of leading and consolidating the efforts of individuals and groups working to achieve healthy development and constructive education for all young children.

 The California Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC) has existed for more than 50 years and offers a number of valuable services and excellent opportunities for early childhood educators to get together and exchange ideas.

For 30 years, the Children's Council of San Francisco has been working to improve the well-being of children, parents, families, and child care providers, and to make affordable, high-quality child care a reality for all working families.

The San Francisco Early Childhood Professional Development Project (PDP), located at the City College of San Francisco Phelan Campus, supports the professional development of members of the early childhood workforce.
