PASTORAL LETTER

My Dear People of God,

Marriage is divinely instituted from the beginning.  Therefore, the dignity and stability of marriage is of the greatest importance to the future of the families, of children, and of society itself.  When matrimony is corrupted, then society itself is sick, perhaps gravely ill.  This is why we need to pray for and take care of families.

Our Lord Jesus elevated matrimony into the dignity of a sacrament.  For a Christian marriage is not just a social institution, but a supernatural calling.  Christian sobriety leads to happy, generous families which, in turn, produce vocations of total dedication to God, the very crown of the Church.  God often calls children of generous parents to lead lives of virginity or celibacy.  These vocations are real treasures which parents can present to the Lord in Heaven.

It is in the family that we find, if practiced, the school of virtues.  The family has a sacred status which deserves the veneration and attention of all its members.  God wants the family to be a school of virtues where children are formed as good citizens and good sons and daughters of God.  Therefore, let us pray for our families and this church that through time, talents, and treasure, we may render to God what belongs to Him.

May God bless you all,

Fr. Festus

PERPETUAL ADORATION:  "My people, take advantage of this time to adore Me in exposition of My Host.  I bring many graces to those who visit Me and give Me praise and adoration.  Any time you can have adoration will bring many blessings on your Church and the people of your area.  See and appreciate the gift of My Presence.  Let the people have full access to My loving Presence so their hearts will always be united with Me in My one Mystical Body."  Direct all questions on Adoration to Victor DeLapo, 335-1201.
