PASTORAL LETTER
My Dear People of God,
Jesus teaches us that He has come to serve and
not to be served. As we seek to imitate
the Lord, we Christians should be ready to give cheerful service to God and
other people without expecting anything in return. We should be content in the knowledge that
Christ knows full well our efforts that we are making on His behalf. Our service to God and others should be
characterized by our humility. The best
example is our Virgin Mary from whom we can learn on how to make the lives of
others pleasant on earth, how to point their sights towards Heaven. When we practice the life of service we will
be blessed to find Jesus in our midst.
True joy in life comes when we totally sacrifice our lives for God and
others.
Today's Gospel reminds us as a community that it
pays when we serve others and share what we have with the world's poor. We are challenged to serve others as a
community and that is the meaning of bringing God's Message to others.
May God bless you all,
Fr. Festus
PERPETUAL
ADORATION: "My people, when you are before My
Blessed Sacrament, My peace slows you down and gives you a chance to examine
your life's priorities. It is when you
stop to listen to My advice, that you learn the true values of life. Your incentives should be to do things for
Me, instead of following your own selfish desires. Your spiritual life should far outweigh your
bodily needs. Direct your life to
storing up Heavenly treasures by serving Me and your neighbor. When you serve only yourself, you are being
misdirected by the evil one. Stay close
to Me, put Me first in your life, then you will be following My will and plan
for you." Direct all questions on
Adoration to Victor DeLapo, 335-1201.

STEWARDSHIP
THOUGHTS: Why is a ‘stewardship lifestyle’ so important?
Every Catholic disciple should make education and
formation
for stewardship a major priority. This is vitally important today because: it
helps parishioners, families, and communities better understand what it means
to follow
Jesus in an affluent, consumer culture, and it establishes an appropriate,
scriptural basis for responding to our Church’s growing need for human,
physical, and financial resources.
