PASTORAL LETTER

My Dear People of God,

Last Sunday I insisted in the homily on how God in His infinite love, sent His Son in this planet Earth created by Him.  He continues to teach us the meaning of life, although He is sinless, that we may understand that God serves us through His Son humbly.  He created the world to serve us and we in turn have to serve Him.

The Mass is an invitation for us to offer ourselves to Christ, our great High Priest, to the Heavenly Father.  There will be times in our lives when we experience more hardship than usual.  There might be moments of greater temptation or grow weary of the struggle.

There are periods of internal darkness and trial, but these are moments we must turn to Jesus like Bartimaeus who lived in complete darkness and had tremendous desire for light and Jesus was attracted to the total spiritual blindness of him and cured him.  The same way of the Lord may help us to see if we have faith in Him and ask Him what does He want me to do for others today.

May God bless you all,

Fr. Festus

PERPETUAL ADORATION:  "Dearest ones of my heart, my Jesus needs your prayers and your adoration.  He especially needs that time alone with each of you when you visit Him in the Blessed Sacrament.  When you open your hearts to Him, He can do much for you.  I invite more to come before my Son in the Blessed Sacrament for private prayer with me, opening hearts and minds and giving all to Him through me, the Immaculate Virgin Mother.”  Direct all questions on Adoration to Victor DeLapo, 335-1201.

NEXT READINGS:  Rev. 7:2-4, 9-14; 1 John 3:1-3; Matt. 5:1-12a.

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHTS:  Why is Stewardship a Lifelong Process?  Stewardship involves a lifelong process of study, reflection, prayer, and action. To make stewardship a way of life requires a change of heart and a new understanding of what it means to follow Jesus without counting the cost. This conversion of mind and heart will not happen overnight, but, as always, the Holy Spirit is at work in our Church.
