PASTORAL LETTER

My Dear People of God,

Today we celebrate the feast of all the Saints.  Through the sacrament of Baptism, we are made Saints through the death, and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus.  In the creed, we recite in one of our beliefs, “the communion of Saints”.  It is a spiritual solidarity which binds us together, the faithful on earth, the souls in Purgatory, and the Saints in Heaven, in the organic unity of the same mystical body under Christ our Head.

We can continue to grow through saintly life if we fulfill God’s will, i.e. to Love Him as our Creator, and the very creatures He created in His Own image and likeness.  It is not an easy task, but through self-giving and sacrifices, we can be able to grow into this life.  Great Saints suffered and endured various forms of pain and suffering.  Likewise, we baptized members of this church have to go through the joys, pains, and the tough hills and mountains of life for others.  The more we persevere the more spiritual life is enhanced for our salvation.  May all the Saints pray for us all.

Tomorrow, Mon., Nov. 2, we will celebrate Mass at 9:00AM for all the faithful departed.  Please plan to attend and we are encouraged this month to pray for the deceased members of our church and all the people of God.  It is highly encouraged to visit gravesides of our loved ones.

May God bless you all,

Fr. Festus

PERPETUAL ADORATION:  "Come, My dear children, and share in My infinite love at every opportunity you can by receiving Me in Holy Communion. Come also and share in adoring My Host at every place of adoration.  Give of your time and give Me praise and glory from your heart.  Love requires two persons to share everything they have with each other.  That is why when you open your heart to Me, I can come in and grant you My graces and help to direct your life.  When you give your life over to Me, I can mold it to the purpose I intended for your life.  By fulfilling My plan for you, you can come closer to that glorious day that I can welcome you into Heaven.”    Direct all questions on Adoration to Victor DeLapo, 335-1201.

STEWARDSHIP THOUGHTS:

What does a Catholic Steward look like?  Catholic stewards take care of the world around us, including embracing the social teaching of the Church.  We share our time, talents and treasures with others.  For your own development as a Catholic steward, it helps to spend time in prayer and reflection to recognize your gifts from God.  Then discover how best to use those gifts for the benefit of others.
