Healing

Unknown Artist

Stelezene

Feeling good about myself,
Is easier these days,
When my mind is clear,
And I'm not seeing through a haze,

Not seeing death as a curse,
Or dreading my next waking hour,
But feeling love in my heart,
Gods there and is my power,

My sight is clear and I can see,
There is something there, not just misery,
Something real and bright,
There is still life inside of me,

Something to hold me here,
A thing so real it has me held,
Inside my soul, inside my body,
I see love and know it's felt,

The insanity has left my mind,
And in so doing I did find,
A place to live could be so dear,
To my heart, to my ears,

Seeing love without the tears,
See my heart as white, is it,
To find a haven for my soul,
To see the hate disappear,

No more pain inside my heart,
Disappear and vanish to the sky,
And is no more for misery is gone,
And to the heavens go my eyes.

You Ran Away

You ran away,
To the arms of another,
And left me all alone,
Alone to face myself,

What I found was a wounded child,
A child in pain,
An easy way to go,
Not easy climbing out again,

Confused and alone again,
Not holding onto a dream,
With a wall of intense misery,
Holding in my screams,

Driving me to suicide,
Driving me into a wall,
Never learning how to fly,
Always trying but each time I fall,

No more falling,
It's time I learned to fly,
Or die trying,
Time to say good-bye,

Standing at the edge of my mind,
There it is, my ocean of sins,
Learning to fly over it,
Or learning to swim,

Swim for my life,
Rolling waves, pulling at my soul,
Tossing me back and forth,
The tides of sin how they roll,

Roll to meet me at the shore,
Met at the edge of sanity,
Taking all my energy,
Getting in touch with the real me,

Want to grow,
Want to fly,
Break the wall,
Behind my eyes,

Break the bonds,
That hold me down,
Break the stake,
That holds me earth bound,

Breathe the air,
Breathe the love,
Rise to meet a new day,
Pain I'll rise above,

Can't hold me stagnant,
Forever,I'll not be held,
This I know to be true,
This I have felt,

Blue skies,
Wings of white,
Knowing love is the only thing,
To set me in flight.

The Spear

In the middle,
Of a war,
With myself,
Like before,
Now a man,
Not a mouse,
Needs a love,
And a house,
Let it be,
Let me,
I will be,
Heard not seen,
Out of here,
Like a spear,
Shot not down,
Or stuck in the ground.

Slapped Down

See this Hell,
I've been in,
See this insanity,
In this den,
Love is cold,
At times it's hot,
When it's rocking,
Sometimes it's not,
The mind is key,
To the function,
Like a beast,
To this conjunction,
Do you know?
The game of life,
Carved me in,
This day of strife,
So little do I know,
So much to learn,
So much to grow,
So much to see,
So much to hold,
Eyes of the young,
Ears to be told,
Raise her wise,
And keep her near,
As love will show,
Treat her dear,
Love her completely,
Or not at all,
With all your heart,
And all your soul,
Find the needle in the haystack,
Change your soul white,
When one was black,
I see this love,
In my own heart,
To begin anew,
To love again,
To sprout and root,
To learn to smile,
To learn to speak,
To learn to talk,
And turn the other cheek.
