General Haunt Information
We often get a lot of questions about the haunt. This covers the most common inquiries. Of course feel free to ask about anything that is not here!
For those that have not visited, the haunt, that continues to be nameless, is a walk-by yard haunt. We encourage visitors to walk across the whole front to experience all areas.

The haunt is not gory or meant to be scary. Spooky and eerie is much more fun! For those with children, we usually find that most are not scared or upset, however that depends on personality no doubt! Our own jr. haunter likes most of it, but has her moments. As we discovered many years ago, we had a similar approach to haunting as the greatly missed Hallowed Haunting Grounds.

The haunt first appeared in 1991. It was significantly smaller than it is now, mostly consisting of a few wood crosses, ghosts in the trees, pumpkins and a charcoal barbeque with wood burning with color crystals in it. That was mostly for us because we were cold! We didn't take pictures that year because we thought it would be about the same every year... Obviously that turned out to be wrong!

There are three keepers of the haunt, Dwayne (aka Stacy), Julie and Scott, with some help from other friends. The haunt is at the home of Julie's parents, (mom likes to help some also). The entire haunt is stored on site in various places and states of disassembly. We also grow pumpkins with various degrees of success, partially dictated by the weather.
We enjoy our visitors and appreciate the many kind words!
