11-19-03:
- Added links to Ted Wygant's bio and also both to Michael Krasny's bio on KQED and to a Chronicle profile about him.
- Added a link for Shann Nix. (July 1995)
- Added a link for the Rev. Amos Brown. (March 1996)
- Added the Mary Ellen Geist - Cary Stayner incident. (July 1999)
- Added Melanie Morgan's 48 Hours story with a link to CBS's articles. (October 1999)
- Added info and background on KNEW's change of format from music to CNET. (January 2000)
- Added Clear Channel's purchase of AMFM and thus KNEW, with links to background and controversy. (September 2000)
- Made a probably meaningless replacement of the word "tragedy" with "disaster" in a Gene Burns item. I started worrying that "tragedy" might inadvertantly suggest Gene wanted to somehow exploit September 11. I only meant he must have been frustrated at being muzzled during arguably the most important current event of his time. (September 2001)
- Added Owen Spann's passing. (October 2002)
- Added KNEW's switch to newstalk with links to initial hosts and to some remarks of Big Rick Stuart on Alex Bennett. (January 2003)
- Deleted comment on Karel's authenticity. The entry is already too much of a plug for someone I like. (February 2003)
- Added Ted Wygant's retirement. (June 2003)
- Added detail and links on Savage. (2003)
11-16-03:
- Corrected the unauthorized chronology with respect to the date of purchase of Capital Cities/ABC by Disney, and added a link to the relevant Associated Press article. Also added reservations about how this impacts the standard account of Jim Hightower's termination.
- Placed disclaimers on all pages.
- Added a link on the main page to the real KGO Radio website.
- Changed the name of the site from "KGO Radio - The Unofficial Website" to "KGO Radio - The Unauthorized Website." I wanted to make it crystal clear that this website has no connection of any kind to KGO Radio.
