Madison Campground

We spent three days camping at the Madison Campground.  When we we were camping at Madison, Yellowstone was having record breaking August temperatures with thermometer reading into the 90's at high elevations.  I was kind of disappointed at  how dry and dirty the campgrounds were.  Yellowstone was more like a high desert than a rainforest which  I had imagined.

These campgrounds had NO SHOWERS!!  But luckily we found a swim hole nearby that was feed by warm water springs!  I also won't say  this ----- but  maybe we sneaked into the showers at the Yellowstone Lodge  --- you know the ones that say "For Residents Only".   If we did do that, and I'm not saying we did, we waited for Old Faithful to be about ready to blow so that no one was in the bathrooms.
