Subj: MAC Heromaker (soon?) Date: 96-02-06 15:31:16 EST From: ADeschesne Well, I finally figured out how to use HeroMaker on my MAC... But first a little background. A friend of mine had bought softwindows to play the various Star Wars games. He then found out that the program had no sound support AND only emulated a 286! He then put the program on his shelf, where it languished until recently when I recieved Champions Deluxe w/Heromaker. He gave me the program (!) and I installed it on it's own Zip Cartridge. I installed the software (man, what a pain to use windos (Spelling intentional)), and swiftly found out that my emulated printer (Epson LQ-2500) was not supported directly. I proceeded to try ALL the epson drivers and found that none of them work, so then I tried the last driver (Star NX-1000) on a hunch and found that it did work. And now I can print... So, for those of you an a MAC system with Softwindows and Heromaker (using a $200+ program to run a $25 Program) this is my setup: Setup --> PC Printer Port in softwindows itself set the fonts (Proportional and Mono Spaced) to a Mono Spaced font like Monaco (I use OCRB). Set the Page Setup to 97% size )This prvents the cut-off at the very bottom of the page that a lot of users are experiencing. This gives me a very nice printout that made Sean Fannon quite miffed, as he STILL can't get his Epson inkjet to print correctly. BTW- What's the deal with automatons? It gets all messed up when I print and/or save and reopen. Well, for now I will be using Heromaker to print and calc my Villians and NPCs, and will be using Excel to do my PCs Albert "My sheets look better than Sean's, ON A MAC! BWahhahahahahaha, um, excuse me." Deschesne PS: Ya ever notice that MAC users are like HERO gamer in the way they defend their respective systems?
