On July 12th we drove about 40 miles to meet up with our whitewater tour guides. We hopped in there old school bus along with several other groups and went on our Whitewater Adventure!
What fun! The six of us and our guide rafted down the Cache La Poudre River, which is a mountain river with no real slow spots and no real scary parts. We went down the river in about an hour, got out, loaded the boat back on the trailer and did it again! The second time down, we stopped at a swimming place and got wet. We were instructed to push off this rock to get into the fast water and then, after floating for about forty feet, to swim hard for the shore so we wouldn't drift on down the river. Grandpa was the only one of the group who had to use a rope to get to shore! (He didn't listen and drifted on down)
