Tuesday morning, June 18th, after a little trouble finding a parking space, we began our explore with a visit to the Library of Congress. We continued with a walk around the Capitol Building, though the U.S. Botanical Garden. After lunch on the grassy mall, we toured the National Gallery of Art, walked by Ford's Theatre (closed for renovations) and to the south lawn of the White House.

But that's not all! We walked to the Monumentl to the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the Vietnam Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and up the Washington Monument. Then, we walked back to the Ford Theatre to eat dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Finally, we walked back to our car, drove to the Jefferson Memorial and then back to Joe and Greta's house for a well-deserved rest!
