What
is the Joint Venture?
The
Joint Venture is a cooperative agreement established in 1972 between
St.
John's Lutheran Church (ELCA) and
Trinity United Methodist Church. The purpose of the agreement
was to formalize the use of facilities in a cooperative ministry.
We work together in mission to our community by providing meeting
rooms for non-profit and self-help groups. The Joint Venture Advisory
Committee (JVAC) operates under the cooperative agreement between
the two churches and is responsible for coordinating program activities
and finance under the Joint Venture. The Joint Venture Maintenance
Committee (JVMC) is responsible for campus upkeep and reports
to the JVAC.
The
Joint Venture works together in mission to our community housing
the men of the Faith in Action shelter at least once per year,
participating in the FISH Junque Sale and other activities. Special
events are enjoyed including Bible study, Christmas tree decorating
parties, Lenten services, anniversary celebrations, faith studies
and more.
