Outreach
Church
and Society |
Trinity's
Church and Society mission area works to make our contributions
felt in a needy world. Our goal is to give attention to local
and larger community ministries of compassion, justice, and advocacy.
Each project is researched and studied to assure our money is
spent wisely. The 2002 Book of Discipline of the United Methodist
Church directs our outreach to include church and society, global
ministries, higher education and campus ministry, health and welfare,
Christian unity and interreligious concerns, religion and race,
and the status and role of women.
During
the Advent season, many Trinity members elect to give a gift in
the name of a loved one in lieu of purchasing a gift. Gifts are
encouraged throughout the year for special occasions. A gift card
is sent to the person you honor when the donation is deposited
in the offering plate or mailed to the church office. We believe
this is a creative alternative to other traditional gifts.

"For
I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave
me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took me into
your home, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick
and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me." Matthew
