Day 43 - February 19

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified..., for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6
Everything seems to be falling into place for Stephanie's arrival home... The Lord makes possible all that what we fear to be impossible.
The locksmith came Wednesday afternoon and replaced the lock on the security door we will be using for with the wheelchair. The carpenter, Balde, came by Wednesday morning and took measurements for the ramp and will return on Saturday to get it done. (Thank you for Bro. Pat's assistance and for those who offered their time.) Members of Bill's Bible Study group, his cousin Dave, and a long-time friend have volunteered to assist next weekend with the construction of a sidewalk from the driveway to the bottom of the ramp. And Heather is working with our case manager at the insurance company to coordinate delivery of the medical equipment to the house and has met with Stephanie's primary care physician to begin the selection and coordination of a local medical and rehab team.
On Wednesday, Dr. Mercer, Texas NeuroRehab's neuropsychologist, completed a second neuro test with Stephanie. Not having a pre-accident evaluation to compare to, it is difficult to make a 100% accurate evaluation. However, with what he has seen since her arrival on 2/2/04, he said that he feels positive about her future. She is showing difficulty with photographic memory and some with higher-order problem solving, but, otherwise, all looks great! The Lord's healing power and mercy is astounding!
We are excited about Stephanie's return home. We are growing weary with the distance and are looking forward to get everyone back under the same roof! Please pray for both Bill and Robert as they have both been battling a stomach bug the last few days, and for traveling mercies as Heather has one more round-trip drive this weekend, Stephanie's ride with Harlingen EMS and Bill's trip home with the travel trailer on Tuesday.
Even with a good health insurance policy, we are facing many issues related to the accident itself and time away from/out of work is taking its toll. Please pray for financial wisdom and discernment.
Whatever we have needed, He has provided -- from day one. Sometimes it is hard to maintain the faith and quell fear and anxiety when we grow tired -- but He will prevail. Thank you for your service in His name! You have been and continue to be a blessing to our family!
God Bless. Bill & Heather Adair
