Assignment #1: Having an Ethical Compass in a Virtual World

• Using the HCISD CQ Policy identify how the policy ensures the protection of Privacy, Property, and Appropriate Use. You will need two examples of each (i.e., 2 of Property, 2 of Privacy, and 2 of Appropriate Use).
• Write or type out your examples. This should include the paragraph/section name, and a re-phrasing or quote of the policy statement that applies.
• Example (you may not use this example in your paper):
  - Property
  Intellectual Property Rights, Page 2, "...employees shall have limited rights to work they create..."
• Include a header and the title Computer Ethics and HCISD on the paper. 2nd & 4th Period can complete this for Extra Credit - only 5th Period was given the assignment.

 

All classes
• Using the assignment objectives and the prompts given to your (assigned) group, research and prepare a Power Point presentation based on the prompts provided.

 

2nd & 5th Period Only:
• In Word, type the Business Letter that is in your notes. Using the Drawing Toolbar in Word, label the parts of the letter. Be sure to label each part with the correct name. Also label the two locations in which there is QS spacing and what the margin measurements are. Place your name in the header. It is due, in hard-copy (i.e., paper) form when you arrive in class on Monday.
• Follow the same procedure to type and label the Memorandum that is in your notes (also labeling the margins & two locations where there is a TS). It is also due on Tuesday.
