Telecommunications
& Networking is a business computer course in the Career and Technology
Department at Harlingen High School.
The first quarter of the course focuses on Networking specifics on an introductory level.
During the second quarter students are introduced to intermediate web mastering skills including web design and publishing, FTP, and various projects (both personal and community-based).
Successful completion of this course fulfills the student's
technology credit for graduation. Students who participate in this and other
Career and Techology classes, as well as maintaining a class standing in the
top 25%, can apply for membership in the National
Vocational Techinical Honor Society (NVTHS).
